At the end of November 2024, in Leszno, my daughter took part in a culinary workshop for teenagers, organized by Bezglutenowa Mama, with Schaer as a partner. More than 20 teenagers from various cities across Poland enthusiastically cooked and baked delicious gluten-free dishes under the guidance of Bezglutenowa Mama.
For four hours, the young participants worked side by side, giving their all. Mixers whirred, ovens baked, frying pans sizzled, graters shredded, and Thermomix machines were in full swing, with kilograms of flour put to use. The results were truly impressive!
Together, they prepared five delicious and easy-to-make dishes, perfect for teenagers:
– Tiramisu in dessert cups made with Savoiardi sponge biscuits
– Spiced carrot muffins
– Mexican quesadillas made with gluten-free wraps
– Gluten-free buns with sausages and olives
– Gluten-free pizza using ready-made crusts
Events like this are rare. In Poland, gluten-free workshops and meetings are usually organized for younger children, while teenagers have few opportunities to connect, cook together, and make new friends. That’s why I was especially happy that we could be part of this amazing experience.
It was clear that the teenagers had a fantastic time at an event designed specifically for their age group. But it wasn’t just about them—their parents also bonded, bringing homemade gluten-free cakes and croquettes to share. Over coffee, they exchanged knowledge about celiac disease and the gluten-free diet, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
It was truly a one-of-a-kind event!
