Wrocław – my city
Wrocław is the city where I have lived for 25 years now, so I could really write about it a lot… 🙂 But I’ll focus on the gluten free culinary side of the trip to this place.
Here is link to the webside where you can find a lot of useful informations about the city https://visitwroclaw.eu/en.
And if you’d like more info about specific places or events, feel free to contact me through the website or Instagram —I’ll be happy to help! 😊
I also invite you to see my photo gallery from Wrocław.
Is Wrocław gluten free friendly place?
It’s much better than a few years ago. Nowadays, you can easily find certified gluten-free products in many stores, such as Rossmann, Carrefour, Auchan, Żabka (The Frog), Biedronka, and Lidl.
However, there are still only a few places where people with celiac disease can safely eat out.
One place I can highly recommend is Vivere Italiano Restaurant vivereitaliano.pl, located right in the city center, just a few steps from the Main Square.
Here, you can enjoy safe and delicious gluten-free dishes, but it’s important to inform the waiter when ordering. The menu includes gluten-free pizzas in many varieties, delicious cream soups, desserts, and several other dishes that can be made gluten-free upon request.
The staff is very friendly and has excellent knowledge about the gluten-free diet and celiac disease, so you can feel comfortable and well taken care of. Definitely a great place to visit! 😊🍕
The second place I would like to recommend is Restauracja Czerwona Koza, which was previously known as Manufaktura Bezglutenowa. This restaurant is entirely gluten-free, so you can enjoy every dish without worry. They post their daily menu on Facebook, making it easy to check what’s available.

I especially recommend their dumplings – “pierogi”. They offer different varieties, including traditional ones with potatoes and cheese, meat-filled, spinach, or sauerkraut and mushrooms. They taste absolutely delicious and are incredibly similar to traditional gluten-containing pierogi, just like the ones I remember from when I could still eat gluten.
Since it’s a small restaurant, I recommend visiting a bit earlier rather than right before closing, as more dishes will likely be available at that time.
It’s also good to know that you can order online and have your meal delivered to your hotel, hostel, or any other location where you’re staying.
If you enjoy Mexican food, I recommend visiting Tak-Os Mexican Style @tak.os.mexicanstyle Their corn tortillas are freshly made from scratch using their own corn, ensuring an authentic and delicious experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and well-informed about gluten
There are also gluten-free bakeries in Wrocław, all of which are certified and safe for people with celiac disease.
My favorite one is called Świat bez Glutenu bakery, which means Gluten-Free World. Here’s their Facebook page.
They offer incredibly delicious gluten-free breads, rolls, baguettes, cakes, and cookies. It’s worth noting that their products sell out quickly, so I recommend calling or messaging them in the morning to reserve your favorites—or simply visiting the bakery early.
You can also find a variety of gluten-free products there, including pasta, pizza bases, cookies, preserves, dried fruits, bars, and more.
I absolutely love all of their gluten-free baked goods!
Another gf bakery is Piekarnia Hert – Hert Bakery. They offer both gluten and gluten free products. The gluten free bread, rolls and sweets are packaged and produced in a separate gluten free factory. They have many stores in the city. Just type- Piekarnia Hert, into Internet and you can find the store with the best location for you.
My daughter and I like their sweet products – yearst cake with blueberries/apricots, brownie cake and oatmeal cookies with cranberries and donuts.
We also have a gluten-free bakery in Wrocław called WOLNA, where you can find delicious rolls, specialty breads, cakes, pastries, and more. It’s a great spot for anyone looking for high-quality, gluten-free baked goods made with care and great ingredients!

If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t be disappointed by visiting these gluten-free patisseries: Fit Cake Stare Miasto and Fit Cake Tęczowa . They offer a delicious selection of gluten-free treats. https://www.facebook.com/FitCakeWroclawStareMiasto

I also recommend visiting the Grycan ice cream parlor. They have several locations in Wrocław, but the main one is at Teatralny Square 6-8, just a few steps from the Puppet Theatre.
Most of their flavors are gluten-free, but be sure to double-check the dessert flavors, as some may contain gluten. It’s a great spot to enjoy delicious, high-quality ice cream!
